Heavy rain flooded the No Man's Land Rohingya refugee encampment at Kona Para/Tombro/Taung Phyo on 17th June. The rains continued on 18th June. Each year the refugees have requested the International Committee of the Red Cross for better support and more resilient structures. These requests have gone unanswered, residents say. During these periods, the refugees are unable to cook. Even if waters recede, firewood cannot be used as these will be damp. Residents are not allowed to  use gas stoves in this area adjacent to the fence with Myanmar.
